I.Job General scope.
My client has managed some down streaming actions to move from weaving to producing ther moplastic laminates , from producing high temperature mats to deliver parts . To support the two key macro trends in aerospace and in automotive (recyclability in aircraft interiors and vehicle electrification)
We are looking for a dynamic person who is end customer orientated with solid technical background and very agile in value selling in mid long sales cycles.
In parallel, the Get It Done mindset of the candidate will support the customer service team in the daily management of automotive customers portfolio.
This role will involve regular travel s and customer visit s The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long term basis . Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.
The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature of the product and about process.
Candidate will need to have Automotive market knowledge with some background s linked to portfolio Technical fibre, t hermoplastic prepreg, nonwoven mats
Main achievements:
- Sales growth of product on a given area for Aero & defence Market segment – New customer acquisition.
- Collect new customer needs as part of the Commercial development strategy and develop sales to existing customers.
This position reports to Head Of Sales A&D US Americas
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial:
- Implementation of sales/commercial strategy for the function and responsibility, according to the group’ strategy and overall objectives.
- Business development: target and development (with marketing support) prospects to promote our downstream solutions
- build/achieve comprehensive sales budget with his manager and follow progress to deliver.
- Proposes and initiates growth sales plan and track progress about results achieved.
- Build sales Forecasts for his area and defines inventory levels in collaboration with supply chain department.
- Build comprehensive sales reporting on performance of his area base on sales, customers, prospects activities, market watch.
- Participates in trade shows / Associations.
Quality:
- Follow customer satisfaction and propose any improvements.
- Support to solve any complaint.
Technical:
- Understand technical requirements and processes of customers.
- Proactive on new development and customer needs in collaboration with internal technical service department.
III. Qualification requirement:
- Engineering/Material background in material/Composite s with previous commercial experience
- 7-10 years Downstream experiences at prepreg or ideally parts manufacturing and composites processing. (Thermoplastic prepreg, insulation, EV/Battery Market…)
- Strong network in aerospace and/or Automotive.
- Marketing posture – Value selling Proposal.
- A record of successful new product introduction (NPI) Strengths: customer & solutions oriented, open, autonomous, interpersonal skills, available
- Multi cultural global team. Regular connexion with European team.
- Frequent travelling
