I. Job General scope:
Our client is looking for Sales Manager Polymers-West/Central EU (New created position)
Preferred profile is a dynamic personality who is customer oriented with solid scientific or commercial background.
The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long-term basis. Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with a diverse customer base, distributors, agent, … in assigned sales territory (Spain, France, UK, Italy, Germany, Benelux, Poland…)
- Execute sales strategy and negotiate business for Polyolefins complete product portfolio.
- The successful candidate will be expected to have technical understanding of Plastics/Polyolefins materials for key market sectors.
This position reports to Sales Manager EU
II. Main Missions/Objectives:
- Execute the sales polymers long-term strategic plan for the specific territory and its netback forecasts in alignment with the function and organization strategies identifying trends that effect current/future growth of territory sales and profitability.
- Work on key targets (territory, customers) and optimally use resources and capabilities to sell out volumes at the Optimal Price
- Provide regular inputs for the annual sales polymer's forecasts related with his/her territory & estimating total portfolio (chemical products) sales.
- Support negotiations with adherence to best practices for sales chemicals activities, key customers/distributor accounts and develop contracts for the specific territory.
- Satisfy customer expectations on polymers, while maintaining profitability and business sustainability.
- Executes direct sales on Polymers to key customers.
- Model of professionalism to lead– high integrity & energy with a collaboratively mindset support of co-promotion partners & distributors.
- Suggest suitable contracting terms and conditions to recommends product and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Play a key role in resolving operational and sales customer complaints and recommend accepted industry practices that impact business
IV. Qualification requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in a sales role in the area of chemical industry (B2B-Business)
- Bachelor or master/Engineer degree in chemistry/materials/Plastics
- Good understanding of polymer market Industry, oil and gas / Polymers / chemicals industry Knowledge of Polymer Marketing Companies and their processes.
- Clear understanding of Polymer marketing business’ regulations.
- Experience with product portfolio management (Polymers sales) - Able to develop customer value propositions for the products.
- Can develop accurate long-term market forecasts for key markets
- Experience Price Forecasts / Volume Availability with grades / Logistic costs / Legal support for key markets - Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
- Leadership, Strategic thinking, Influencing, negotiation, teamwork.
- Strong communication and presentation skills - Capable to develop trust with staff, colleagues and customers
- English, Spanish and any others language will be appreciated.
- Frequent travel up to 30-40%
