Sales Operations & Strategy Manager – West Region
About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and analytical professional to take on the role of Sales Operations & Strategy Manager, responsible for bridging the operational and strategic interface between HQ and the local Sales, Logistics, and R&D teams. This is a cross-functional position that goes beyond coordinating sales operations — it requires active contribution to building and refining commercial strategies adapted to the local market, within the framework set by HQ.
The right person for this role has a solid background in industrial Sales Management or Program Management with a strong commercial component. A purely Supply Chain profile without sales management experience is not suitable for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the key operational and strategic interface between HQ and the local Sales, Logistics, and R&D teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of commercial priorities.
- Monitor the progress of sales teams across targets, profit, and KPIs, and proactively identify and implement improvement measures.
- Oversee the order flow, delivery, and invoicing processes, working closely with the Sales Operations Specialist within the team.
- Conduct market research and marketing analyses to identify opportunities and anticipate market shifts, including changes in government funding structures or public tender dynamics.
- Design and implement adjacent commercial strategies tailored to local market dynamics, in alignment with the direction set by HQ.
- Coordinate and support a diverse sales team comprising Sales Representatives, Key Account Lead, Project Managers, Sales Engineers, and AfterSales Engineers.
- Develop and monitor relevant KPIs across business lines, with a primary focus on the Renewables segment (Energy Storage, Restart Energy) — currently the dominant line (~90% public tenders) — and the growing Smart Metering and Water divisions.
- Collaborate with the HQ counterpart (reporting to VP level) to ensure strategic alignment and share best practices across markets.
- Analyse existing sales strategies and develop parallel initiatives to strengthen market positioning and accelerate revenue growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial Sales Management or Program Management with a significant commercial component.
- Strategic and analytical mindset — ability to translate market data into concrete decisions and actionable initiatives.
- Experience in sectors with complex sales cycles: public tenders, end-to-end projects (design, installation, maintenance), renewable energy, utilities, or smart infrastructure is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and operate effectively within matrix structures (international HQ + local teams).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
- Experience in defining and tracking commercial and operational KPIs.
- Advanced level of English — required for regular communication with HQ.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of driving initiatives independently in a fast-moving environment.
