About the role:

The SAP FICO – Project Systems Consultant will work with industrial and manufacturing clients to design, implement, and support SAP solutions for project-based financial management. The role involves managing project costing, budgeting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting while ensuring seamless integration between SAP PS and core FICO modules.

This position requires strong functional expertise, client-facing skills, and the ability to deliver solutions across end-to-end SAP implementation and transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver SAP FICO and PS solutions across full lifecycle projects, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand project accounting and controlling requirements for industrial projects.
• Configure and support SAP Project Systems functions such as project structuring, WBS, budgeting, cost planning, settlement, and revenue recognition.
• Design and implement project-based financial processes, including capital and expense projects.
• Ensure integration between PS, FI (GL, AP, AR, AA), and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PM, ABAP, data migration, testing) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications for developments, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.
• Support testing cycles, user training, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Assist in pre-sales and solutioning activities, including effort estimation and functional inputs.
• Contribute to best practices, accelerators, and reusable assets for practice growth.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP FICO & PS Expertise

• Hands-on configuration experience in:
  • Financial Accounting (FI): GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting
  • Controlling (CO): Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders
  • Project Systems (PS): WBS creation, project costing, budgeting, settlement, and results analysis
• Experience with project revenue recognition, cost capitalization, and period-end closing.

Industry Knowledge:

• Experience working with industrial, engineering, capital projects, or manufacturing clients.
• Understanding of project-driven business models, EPC scenarios, and make-to-order environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferably from Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or related disciplines
