Role Overview
This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Supply chain and Logistics Operations, inventory optimization, procurement and cost-saving initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management principles, a proven track record in driving process improvements, and a strategic mindset to achieve company objectives.
Responsibilities
1.Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Leverage data-driven insights to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment accurately. Implement best practices in Inventory control and reduce shrinkages.
2.Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain process, negotiate with suppliers for favourable terms, and implement initiatives to reduce overall operational costs while maintaining product quality.
3. Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish strong partnerships and negotiate pricing and terms to achieve the best possible value. Monitor supplier performance regularly and address any issues promptly.
4. Logistics Management: Streamline logistics and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of spare parts to customers while optimizing transportation costs and minimizing lead times.
5. Process Improvement: Continuously review existing supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement process enhancements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives to the executive management team.
7. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals, provide guidance, and support professional development to maximize team potential.
8. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain uninterrupted operations.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and production, to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 8-10 years) in supply chain management, with a focus on inventory optimization and cost-saving initiatives, preferably within the aftermarket spare parts industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, logistics, and procurement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
