Our client is a global audit, consulting, and accounting services company operating in multiple countries. As a key member of the Accounting Services Department, you will play an important role in overseeing the monthly bookkeeping for clients and supporting other team members. This is a full-time office-based position that requires a focus on maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting services.
Main responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the monthly bookkeeping for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Handle payroll processes accurately and in a timely manner, including tax calculations and reporting.
- Prepare monthly and yearly tax returns, staying up-to-date with the latest taxation laws and regulations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to clarify any accounting-related issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with the Bulgarian and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Guide and mentor the accounting team, providing support and ensuring an efficient workflow.
- Maintain relations with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in an accounting firm.
- Good knowledge of Bulgarian and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, taxation laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to support and mentor other team members, leading by example.
- Very good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and accounting software.
