Key Responsibilities:
- Manage General Ledger, Tax reporting, and Accounts Payable/Receivable.
- Handle fixed assets, inter-company transactions, VAT, inventories, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and submit all statutory, tax, and other declarations (e.g., D100, D101, D120, D207, D300, D390, D394, Intrastat).
- Prepare semiannual/annual statutory financial statements in compliance with Romanian legislation.
- Participate in monthly closing procedures and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Facilitate external audit activities and prepare statutory financial statements.
- Implement robust accounting control measures to maintain a strong internal control framework.
- Ensure all requisite supporting documents are archived to meet fiscal/statutory regulations.
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison for external audit activities, ensuring timely completion of the annual financial statements audit.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally within a production-oriented company.
- Strong grasp of Romanian accounting and tax legislation.
- Good understanding of external audit, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
- Education: University Degree (preferably in accounting).
Skills:
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus).
- CECCAR affiliation/CAFR affiliation is beneficial.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of commitment and accountability.
- Detail-oriented, rigorous, and possess excellent organizational skills.
Specific Knowledge:
- Knowledge on financial situations, statutory reporting/declarations, and accounting regulations/legislation to help us internally take over activities currently outsourced.
- Serve as the main resource in relation to external auditors.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Meal Tickets: 40 RON/workday.
- Transport Allowance: 250 RON.
- Additional Benefits: To be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
