A leading, fast-growing global insurance and risk advisory platform is looking to appoint a Senior Aviation Broker to drive the development of its aviation portfolio across South Africa and broader African markets.
This role offers exposure to complex, international aviation placements, working with airlines, charter operators, airports, and aviation service providers.

Global exposure - Work with international insurers, markets, and cross-border placements.
Growth trajectory - A business actively scaling across Africa and internationally, creating real career progression opportunities.
Diverse risk ecosystem - Access to clients across aviation, logistics, commodities, and complex risk environments.
Innovation-led environment - A forward-thinking business leveraging technology and data to enhance decision-making and client outcomes.
Meritocratic culture - Performance-driven environment where impact is recognised and rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and place complex aviation insurance programmes in local and international markets
- Advise clients on aviation risk exposures, coverage structures, and regulatory requirements
- Build and grow a portfolio of aviation clients across Africa
- Develop strong relationships with airlines, operators, airports, and aviation service providers
- Engage with international underwriters and specialist aviation insurers
- Lead renewals, negotiations, and coverage optimisation strategies
- Provide claims support and advocacy for aviation-related incidents
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12 years’ experience in insurance broking, with strong aviation exposure
- Proven experience placing aviation risks in international markets
- Strong relationships with aviation insurers and underwriters
- Commercially driven with a track record in business development
- Deep technical understanding of aviation insurance structures
- Ability to operate in a high-performance, growth-focused environment
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for a broker who:
- Wants to move beyond a traditional broking environment
- Is motivated by building something, not just maintaining it
- Seeks international exposure and complexity
- Thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business
