SENIOR BIOINFORMATICS SCIENTIST
OPPORTUNITY
In its Research & Development centers, Menarini’s main focus is dedicated to therapeutic areas with unresolved pathologies, such as oncology and anti-infectives, where increasing treatment options is fundamental to helping those in need. The Group's pipeline concentrates on innovative drugs and technologies including both small molecule and biologics for hematologic and solid tumours for greater personalized solutions.
Preclinical and Translational Sciences department is composed by a diverse group of Experienced translational scientists (expertise In vitro and In vivo pharmacology and toxicology) with global experience in oncology, generating preclinical and translational data and delivering an integrated vision of our products.
Expanding internal cutting- edge technologies and science to support R&D need is one of our focus.
As a Senior Scientist you will have a key role in leveraging data generated internally and externally as biomarkers, in vitro an in vivo data with a primary goal of efficient analysis and interpretation of different datasets
You will report to the Head of Global Preclinical and Translational Sciences.
This position is open to hybrid working arrangements, however candidates with remote work arrangement will be considered.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Contribute to bioinformatics process optimisation and standardization.
- Writing bioinformatics protocols and documentation.
- Designing and applying bioinformatics methods leveraging and combining information obtained from various dataset.
- Implementing and deploying biological data (in vitro, invivo and NGS) analysis methods and tools using computational tools and technique.
- Proactive in innovation and creativity in data analysis.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- MSc in Bioinformatics - related subjects/ PhD in Bioinformatics or equal experience.
- Good understanding of cancer biology with 5-7 years’ experience in bioinformatic/data science role within Translational R&D.
- Experience with biomarkers/invitro and in vivo data analysis and bioinformatics related resources for data mining.
- Programming skills (Phyton, R) and statistical competences.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).
- Ability to work in team and desire to collaborate maintaining a good team spirit.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to timely delivery of the results.
