Senior Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly reports for the company, including the monthly balance sheet, P&L, reconciliation & consolidations.
• Generate and record the set of orders for both clients and suppliers, maintaining close collaboration with the partners regarding the invoices and their status.
• Liaise with external providers such as banks and insurance companies.
• Responsible for all bank/cash transactions: clients’ collections, vendor payments, rent, payroll, taxes, bank fees, letter of bank guarantee/ credit, monetary exchange, vendor payments etc.

• Monthly reporting to the partners, ensuring facile communication with all stakeholders.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies such as the preparation of monthly provisions for bad debts etc.

• Focus on continuous improvement, being actively involved in updating policies and processes to facilitate the activity of the company.
• Knowledge of international standards and practices, such as IFRS, and SOXA, identifying and reporting controlling gaps, and implementing the necessary corrective actions.

• Involvement in the internal audit & ISO audits, addressing and solving the findings. 

• Close collaboration with the HR department, ensuring compliance with the labor legislation, active participation in the recruitment process of new colleagues and the administrative operations, and ensuring compliance with the documents provided by the payroll service supplier.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in general accounting, completed by professional experience as a controller.
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, and finance principles.
• Experienced in IFRS reporting, reconciliation, and month-closing procedures.
• Advanced communication skills in Romanian & English languages, both verbal and written.
• Experience using ERP accounting software.
