Senior Corporate Engineering Manager

THE ROLE

• Lead and deliver engineering projects, ensuring delivery in line with schedule and budget, and in compliance with HSE and GMP standards;
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams, supporting troubleshooting, optimization, and implementation of plant modifications or new technologies;
• Define the engineering investment plan, ensuring alignment with business priorities;
• Perform and review feasibility studies, supporting concept selection and ensuring fit-for-purpose and cost-effective design solutions;
• Promote and apply Lean CapEx and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles, ensuring right-sized design, cost-effective solutions, and long-term sustainability of investments;
• Oversee all project execution phases, managing contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders;
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and HSE during commissioning and start-up phases to guarantee smooth ramp-up and compliance;
• Ensure compliance to GMP, HSE, and engineering standards (including ATEX, FAT/SAT, validation requirements);
• Lead a team of Project Engineers, fostering alignment, accountability, and technical growth.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering strongly preferred);
• 8–12 years of experience in engineering roles within API, pharmaceutical, or fine chemical industries;
• Proven experience in industrial project execution (CapEx projects, revamping, new installations);
• Strong knowledge of:
  • ​​​​​​​Chemical plant design and operations, including main unit operations and industrial equipment (reactors, centrifuges, dryers, filtration systems);
  • Utilities systems (HVAC, clean utilities, process utilities);
  • P&IDs and process engineering fundamentals;
• Good understanding of:
  • Process safety and containment principles (including handling of hazardous and highpotency substances);
  • Automation and instrumentation systems;

• Familiarity with:
  • Engineering project lifecycle (URS, FAT, SAT, commissioning and startup);
  • Regulated industrial environments (e.g., GMP, ISO or equivalent frameworks);
• Experience in budget management and cost control;
• Fluent in English;
• Ability to deliver projects with discipline and ownership;
• Strong field presence and ability to drive implementation directly on site;
• Ability to identify practical and effective solutions;
• Effective interaction with Operations, QA, HSE, and external partners;
• Ability to balance technical robustness with timing and cost constraints.

Nice to have:

• Experience in CDMO environment;
• Familiarity with Lean CapEx/TCO approaches.
