Senior Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc analyses regarding sales and margin performance for key decision-makers;
• Support the business team in understanding sales, margins, and anticipated future results;
• Participate in the preparation of the group reporting package in accordance with internal policies and monthly closing procedures;
• Provide support in all planning activities: outlook, forecast, budget, and 5-year plan;
• Support internal departments in financial and accounting matters, including analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast variances, and propose corrective actions;
• Ensure the execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of operational controlling processes: data collection, validation, consolidation, report and dashboard design;
• Be responsible for monthly and annual closing activities, including maintenance of master data;
• Manage the cost center controlling process: planning, forecasting, actuals; perform plan vs. actual analyses for variable and fixed costs, as well as variances;
• Carry out routine operational controlling activities during closing, forecasting, and planning periods: data collection, plausibility checks, predictive analysis, and stakeholder reporting;
• Report cost evolution and perform analyses for relevant divisions; communicate and align data collection with stakeholders;
• Read, understand, and apply procedures related to the area of responsibility;
• Perform any other tasks related to the area of responsibility, as requested by the direct manager or business.

Qualifications and Competencies

• University degree in Economics, preferably Finance and Accounting;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in controlling, preferably within a manufacturing company;
• Familiarity with cost center structures, reporting systems, and production processes;
• Ability to work independently, as well as within the finance and controlling team;
• Project management and process improvement skills;
• Results-oriented mindset and analytical thinking;
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, professionalism, and high ethical standards;
• Professional proficiency in English;
• Advanced digital skills, especially Excel and ERP systems;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
