Job Description
- Provide effective legal support to the business, procurement and other support functions of subsidiary companies in contract structuring, drafting, vetting and negotiation.
- Assist in evaluations and conducting due diligence for all deals and transactions and effectively develop and implement appropriate risk-mitigation strategies in relation to Company’s business operations with specific focus on contracts and compliance management
- Provide appropriate legal advice and training to all functions relating to recovery and contracts;
- Advising and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, consents, regulations, policies and rules;
- Filing and handling of litigations before various Courts of India.
Competencies/Skills Required
- Strong ability to draft and close documentation efficiently with minimal or no exposure to the Organization;
- People management with ability to work effectively with the business team and with senior management team;
- Should have Leadership skills to lead the team and motivate them and help them in achieving their objectives.
- Should have excellent negotiation skills.
- Should have research and analytical skills so as to exercise judgment and discretion to opine on legal issues;
- Should abreast with all the applicable statutes and laws.
- Maintaining high EQ while contracting or litigating.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Financial: (a) Effectively handle pre-litigation issues and litigations, ensuring least financial exposure to the Company (b) Structuring of critical contract clauses to minimize risk to the Company and providing customized risk related clauses within TAT; and also, review / creation of standard contract templates and circulate periodically to internal stakeholders.
- Customer: (a) Contract drafting, review and closure within TAT, with emphasis to limit exposure of the Company (b) Attending to/draft notices and other correspondences along with providing advice/assistance to internal stakeholders.
- Processes: (a) Implementation of automation process for contracts, litigations and compliance (b) Guidance and oversight of the Compliance Management of the Company
- Learnings: (a) Mcares score, team building, team engagement (b) Capability building to drive strategy (c) Team development and Team building
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Role holder needs to travel in case of any critical matter or for litigation purpose or for making any contract.
