Reports To: Sales Director
Essential responsibilities and duties
The customer sales manager is one of the co-owners of the P&L responsibility for his/her Customer Business Unit (“CBU”) perimeter, being responsible for Sales & Customer Management for the whole Product Life Cycle (Program, Serial Life, Acquisitions) in his/her Region / Division.
The main missions of the role are:
o Oversees intimacy with his/her Customer contacts (Purchasing, Engineering, Programs) at a Sr Level :- Interfaces with the customer at a Global Level
- Build long term relationships with key staff at top management level in the client organization
- Understand what competition is doing
o Responsible for the profitability & growth of his/her account, trough:
- Strategic Account Planning with mid term vision & objectives
- Acquisitions order intake at or above targets
- Sales support for Programs in development
- Serial Life – VariableCostMargin continuous improvement with a reasonable alignment on productivity with the Customer
- Supports the “R&D” P&L – balancing CBU costs with tooling margin and development revenues
o Manage a team of Sales engineers
- Overall management of all own organization’s sales activity (recruiting, developing and promoting the teams)
- Overall responsibility to set sales targets designed to meet organization’s objectives
o Responsible for his CBU Sales
- Prepares the list of targeted acquisitions / acquisition radar
- Defines with the appropriate anticipation the acquisition tactics to beat the competition with satisfactory KPIs & contractual terms
- Support pro-actively the selling of Innovation and deploy Value Pricing
- Leverage his/her experience to set-up effective negotiation plans for the most complex claims & ECRs
- Tooling account : he/she is responsible to sell our tooling with adequate commissioning fees and to collect the cash on time
- Develop and execute within his/her Region/Division a positive commercial balance on the “Squeeze” (commercial productivity – LTAs, one-offs, incremental, texturing… - , VA-VE, economics, raw materials pass through, claims, new businesses)
- Acts as a Team player within his/her Global Account / CBU organization to ensure the best coordination and most effective global bargain power .
Experience :
- 15 years of experience in Sales in the Automotive industry.
- Experience with international exposure
- A professional experience in Program is an advantage
Skills and competencies :
- Fluent in english and Korean language.
- Broad and comprehensive understanding of theories and practices in sales discipline
- Strong Finance skills
- Strong negociator with good interpersonal skills
- Business international mindset
- Accountable and results oriented – Get the things done
- Excellent leadership skills, being able to build successful teams
- Bring high ethical standards to all business dealings
