SENIOR FOOD (R&D)  TECHNOLOGIST 
 

Tasks&Responsibilities

• development of new products and line extensions from benchtop to commercialization
• manage pilot plant tests to generate product prototypes
• runs production tests at manufacturing plants developing commercially viable new products or reformulated products to improve quality.
• works with an online formulation database system creating or adjusting product formulations.
• maintains accurate project files, formulations, specifications, and product/ project data.
• works with cross-functional teams on projects providing product development 

Education&Skills

• Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline
• At least 5 years of r&d/product development experience in a food production facility
• intermediate food production/plant experience
• strong fundamentals of applied food ingredient functionality, food chemistry, food production principles, and processes
• working knowledge of r&d processes, commercialization process and managing own projects
• aptitude for solving technical challenges through systematic research and investigation
