Senior General Ledger Accountant

Reports to: Finance Manager RO

Location: Jucu

Work Type: hybrid (1-2 days/week from home)

Job Summary:

The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing and executing the comprehensive month-end closing procedures, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements. This role involves detailed reconciliations, adjustments, and analyses of various financial aspects, contributing to the overall financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end closing procedure, including G/L account reconciliation, balance sheet and profit & loss items review.
• Prepare adjusting entries.
• Maintain the fixed assets reconciliation.
• Using external data to process the payroll in Epicor ERP.
• Process bank reconciliations.
• Preparing VAT, VIES, 394, INTRASTAT filings plus CIT filings – together with FM.
• Process debit card expense reports and business trips docs / expenses.
• Analyze work in progress, inventory, cost of operations and other logistic transactions.
• Review and analyze financial statements – together with the FM.
• Back-up for processing AP & AR invoices.
• Perform audits – together with Financial Manager.
• Other supporting administrative (ad hoc) work.

Ideal candidate:

• Relevant accounting studies
• Experience with working with ERP-systems (mandatory).
• Experience with month-end closing procedures (mandatory).
• English – advance level.
• MS office suite with high experience in working with Excel.
• Strong drive with a hands-on attitude, structured and accurate working style.
• Show ownership of general ledger issues and to everything connected with it.
• Strong communication skills.
