For an international Luxury company we are looking for a

SENIOR GL ACCOUNTANT - TEMPORARY

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and report on all accounting flows for the European subsidiaries. The role involves managing day-to-day financial accounting operations, includes month-end closing activities and preparation of financial statements in line with the Group Accounting Manual (US GAAP Principles) and Local Statutory Requirements.

This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Accounting.

The role will:

• Performing daily accounting operations for local and Group (US GAAP consolidated) reporting
• Preparing and entering general ledger transactions and and preparing account reconciliations
• Support in preparation and submission of VAT/Intrastat returns and related fiscal compliance activities
• Supporting intercompany reporting through invoice issuance and preparing reconciliations
• Perform ad hoc assignment and other assignments as required

Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics, the ideal candidate will be a strong experienced (5 years) in BIG 4. Experience of “Sarbanes – Oxley Act and US GAAP is a plus. Experience with JD Edwards and/or SAP is a plus. Ability to interact multi-culturally is a must.
