Role Objectives:

As an Infrastructure Monitoring and Tools Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the implementation, administration, and optimization of our infrastructure monitoring tools. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving issues, building customizations and integrations, and ensuring the uptime and features of monitoring tools. Additionally, you will contribute to requirements gathering, configure solutions in high-availability and disaster recovery scenarios, and develop monitoring scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Implement and administer the infrastructure monitoring tools.
•    Troubleshoot and fix issues in the infrastructure monitoring tools.
•    Build customizations and integrations of monitoring and event management tools
•    Plan enhancements and maintain tools' uptime/features.
•    Configure solutions in HA & DR considering organizational deployment policies/constraints.
•    Develop MRL scripts required for monitoring and integration.
•    Configure server/storage/network monitoring using IT infra monitoring tools.
•    Provide reports, stats, and metrics to users for debugging issues with Infrastructure and Applications.
•    Manage and support integrations with ITSM, current monitoring tools, CMDB, and other tools like Evolven, Splunk ITSI, and Moogsoft.
•    Design and develop Monitoring Dashboards.
•    Implement, customize, and configure ITMS and ITOM toolset
•    Document tasks, designs, and configurations for appropriate turnover to production.

Requirements:
•    Relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and Monitoring.
•    Integration of ITMS and ITOM toolset
•    General understanding of IT operations, Business Service Management, and foundational level of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
•    Provide general working knowledge of physical and logical designs to internal teams.
•    Excellent technical, written, and communication skills.
•    Experience with JAVA, Linux, AI, and Web Services.
•    Good Knowledge in ITSM and ITIL processes.

Additional Skills, nice to haves:
Primary Skills:
•    Proven experience as a Monitoring Tools Specialist or similar role.
•    In-depth knowledge of SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus, and Instana.
•    Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
•    Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Secondary Skills:
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Effective communication and collaboration skills.
•    This role emphasizes expertise in monitoring and event management tools, aligning with ITIL practices and contributing to the continual improvement of monitoring and event management processes.
