Our client is a prominent Western European food ingredients producer with a presence in over 50 countries. In Romania, they have established a strong presence in recent years, boasting a stable and growing team. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Key Account Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Country Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing major clients in six counties across Romania. This role requires exceptional hunting abilities and a focus on new business development, with approximately 40-50% of the role dedicated to handling existing clients and an equal focus on acquiring new business.
Job Profile:
- Foster and nurture relationships with existing customers, managing a consistent portfolio of accounts in specific areas of the country.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor their performance, and oversee the invoicing and collection process.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's analysis portfolio to effectively engage with existing and potential clients.
- Proactively approach new clients, prepare company presentations, identify customer needs, and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Present new analysis packages to existing customers when applicable.
- Identify and propose prompt solutions to potential or existing problems in client partnerships.
- Actively seek out new business opportunities and engage directly with potential customers.
- Take full responsibility for achieving targets allocated for the assigned portfolio.
- Develop and adapt strategies to approach potential customers, keeping a close eye on market trends and competition.
- Prepare activity reports and action plans, aligning them with the direct superior.
- Ensure accuracy and timely provision of data and information.
- Maintain confidentiality of company data and information.
- Identify opportunities to improve personal performance and discuss them with the direct superior.Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management/Business Process Design. Any specialization in Life Sciences (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, food engineering, biotechnology, molecular biology) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of consistent full-cycle sales experience, with a focus on selling services.
- Previous experience in food testing, sales of B2B food additives services, complex equipment lines, or commercial exposure related to the Life Sciences field and/or the sale of laboratory-related products and services is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven, service-oriented, open-minded, proactive, and analytical thinker.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations in complex business settings.
- Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines, limited resources, and ambiguous situations.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with CRM (MS Analytics) and bidding software. Familiarity with complex offers and different matrices for the same methods.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field work.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.Compensation and Benefits:
- Maximum monthly net remuneration of €2000, converted to the local currency upon hiring.
