Senior Key Account Manager Europe (m/f/d)
(Home Office) with approx. 30% travel
The Senior Key Account Manager will oversee and grow key customer relationships across Europe, covering multiple product lines. Reporting to a senior leader within the engineered products division and working closely with regional sales leadership, this role will be supported by dedicated product specialists while acting as the primary commercial contact in the region. The position focuses on executing strategic initiatives locally while contributing to broader global objectives.
Your Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary commercial interface for assigned key accounts within Europe, with full ownership of customer relationship management and business development efforts.
- Represent Engineered Products business in customer engagements, supported by technical and product management teams.
- Own the revenue performance for assigned accounts, including meeting annual sales targets, supporting pricing strategies, and driving account profitability.
- Lead and coordinate commercial activities such as quotations, RFQs, contract reviews, and strategic business planning.
- Actively collaborate with ACS engineering, technical sales, and operations teams to align customer requirements and deliver value-added solutions.
- Provide regular insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform strategic planning.
- Travel regularly (~30%+) across Europe to customer sites, industry events, and internal meetings; must be flexible and enthusiastic about travel.
- Interface with global counterparts in the Americas, North Asia, and South Asia to maintain cohesive global account strategies and share best practices.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience in key account management or technical sales within the automotive, mobility, or similarly engineered industries.
- Fluent in German and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of commercial success managing high-value OEM and Tier 1 relationships.
- Strong understanding of technical sales cycles, product quality standards, and customer validation processes.
- Other languages are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, navigate complexity, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Must possess a proactive mindset and strong desire for professional growth and leadership
- Familiarity with automotive products, including exhaust components, mesh solutions, or automotive safety systems.
- Experience working within a global organisation and collaborating across time zones and cultures.
- Background in managing or mentoring others, formally or informally
