Hiring for a Senior Manager – Legal, for a global leader in core banking solutions.

Role details:
- Title / Designation: Senior Manager - Legal
- Reporting to: CFO
- Location: Chennai

Role & responsibilities:
- Manage contracts: draft, review, negotiate, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies for various agreements.
- Oversee legal compliance: stay informed on relevant laws and regulations, provide guidance, and collaborate with the GRC team to implement compliance programs.
- Handle dispute resolution: assist in resolving conflicts, manage external counsel, and participate in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Manage data privacy and security: advise on laws and regulations, ensure compliance, develop protection strategies, and respond to incidents.
- Protect intellectual property: manage IP matters, conduct assessments, advise on protection strategies, and resolve disputes.
- Implement risk management: identify legal risks, propose mitigation strategies, conduct research on regulatory changes, and develop policies and procedures.
Candidate requirements:
- 10-12 years in corporate law, focusing on commercial transactions or technology law. Previous law practice and IT services industry experience are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of contract, intellectual property, data privacy laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proactive approach to legal issues.
- Strong communicator, able to work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
