We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer (location: Baia-Mare) with strong experience in enterprise, multi‑site, multi‑vendor environments. You will design, operate, and secure complex network infrastructures, support hybrid cloud connectivity, and ensure high availability and performance across the entire ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Network Design & Administration

• Manage and optimize LAN/WAN/WLAN in enterprise environments
• Implement routing & switching (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP)
• Administer switches, routers, Wi‑Fi controllers
• Manage VPNs (site‑to‑site, remote access)
• Security & Access Control

Network segmentation (ACLs, firewall rules)

• Operate NAC solutions (ClearPass, Cisco ISE or similar)
• Enforce Zero Trust principles
• Collaborate with Security/SOC teams on incident prevention and response

Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity

• Manage on‑prem to cloud connectivity (Azure/AWS)
• Configure hybrid VPNs and gateways
• Work with Cloud & Infrastructure teams on end‑to‑end design

Advanced Troubleshooting

• Handle Level 3 network incidents
• Perform root‑cause analysis
• Use monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow, NMS, Wireshark)

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate clearly with internal/external clients
• Translate technical issues into business‑focused language
• Support junior/mid‑level network admins
• Collaborate with Security, Systems, Cloud, Support, OT teams

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain diagrams, topologies, procedures
• Participate in change management
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, CMMC

Requirements

• 7+ years in IT networking, 5+ years in a senior role
• Strong experience with enterprise/multi‑site/multi‑vendor networks
• Solid knowledge of routing, switching, network security, enterprise Wi‑Fi
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to make independent technical decisions

Certifications

• At least one: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP, Aruba ACNP, CompTIA or equivalent
• Big plus: Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto, CEH, Cisco security, cloud networking certifications
