Our client has a design and manufacturing site in Budapest with a team of 30 enthusiastic employees. They are looking for an Office Manager, who will ensure the smooth, efficient running of the office while driving operational excellence across admin and internal processes.
Responsibilities:
- Combine strategic planning with hands-on execution in the daily work and lead a team of 2 assistants.
- Ensure timely and accurate outgoing payments collaborating with the Chief Accountant.
- Manage departmental coordination across logistics, procurement, finance, and manufacturing.
- Execute managerial instructions and coordinate with overall company strategy.
- Review and supervision of all agreements, NDA, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.
- Liaise with external contractors, including insurance providers, shipping companies, bank, office suppliers, etc.
- Assist with hiring of new staff as required.
- Establish and manage the supply chain for the office including everything from hardware, furniture to daily kitchen supplies and stationery.
- Design and execute a variety of events, including team building events, holiday parties etc;
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with cleaning services, security, catering, and maintenance providers
- Manage the office operations budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost-saving without compromising on quality
Requirements:
- University Degree is required (Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred).
- 5+ years in office management or business operations.
- Experience in managing a small team.
- Strong organizational, contract, and stakeholder management skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and procurement/ERP.
- Fluent in English and Hungarian language.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
