Our client is a leading provider of embedded control applications.The company's solutions serve more than 120,000 customers across the industrial, automotive, consumer, aerospace and defense, communications and computing markets. They are looking for a PDK CAD Engineer who will use his understanding of integrated circuits and process technologies to implement specifications for process design kits (PDKs) and design automation

Responsibilities:

1. Creating and maintaining technology files, symbols, layout Pcells, CDFs, netlisting, and callbacks;
2. Building test structures and run simulation, physical verification, and parasitic extraction to ensure proper model and verification deck integration;
3. Developing and maintaing automation utilities using Cadence SKILL, LINUX scripting languages, Python or Perl;
4. Providing user support of both the PDKs and the design capture and layout tools to worldwide design centers and technical contractors- user training, both in person and online, and maintaining web documentation.

Requirements:

1. BS in either Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;
2. From 2-3 years of experience in related field;
3. Understanding of electronic fundamentals relating to front and back analog and mixed signal design methodology;
4. Ability to learn new technical skills and work in a fast paced, results oriented team environment;
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a fluency in English;
6. Ability to balance customer support requests with development tasks;
7. Experience with scripting in at least one of these languages: Perl, Python;
8. Familiarity with EDA tools used in IC design.

Preferred skills:

1. Experience with automation of Cadence IC tools using SKILL language programming;
2. Experience with PDK development and validation;
3. Experience with foundry PDK installation, customization, and qualification;  
4. Experience with Design Data Management software like git and DesignSync;
5. Experience in IC layout or design.
