In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our Continuous Casting (Slab) team, where you will have the chance to shape and refine the casting process. Whether you come from a background as a Process Engineer with technological office experience or as a Process Supervisor with on-site expertise, we value your unique skills and knowledge.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and/or Chemical Engineering.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Level B).
- A minimum of 5 years of prior technological office experience as a Process Engineer, preferably in the Slab Caster field.
- Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of previous on-site experience as a Process Supervisor, preferably in the Slab Caster field.
- In-depth knowledge of metallurgical processes for Continuous Casting, with a proficiency level of A, specifically in Slab Casting.
- Familiarity with casting equipment at a proficiency level of B.
- Understanding of metallurgical processes upstream and downstream of Continuous Casting, with a proficiency level of B and C, respectively.
- Competence in working with different steel grades at a proficiency level of B.
- Familiarity with refractory materials at a proficiency level of C.

Main Activities:
As a Continuous Casting (Slab) Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Defining critical caster process parameters.
- Utilizing and enhancing metallurgical models for caster sizing.
- Defining caster performance parameters.
- Collaborating closely with the Sales Office during the offer phase.
- Coordinating with the Technical Office during the execution phase.
- Participating in plant commissioning during performance phases to achieve caster acceptance.
- Engaging in field measurements to drive continuous process and equipment improvements.
