Hiring for Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, build, and scale the core systems that power our platform. You’ll work closely with frontend engineers, product teams, AI engineers, and infrastructure teams to develop reliable APIs, backend services, AI orchestration systems, and scalable data pipelines.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices
• Develop reliable and performant systems that power customer-facing applications and AI-driven workflows
• Own backend features end-to-end — architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and optimization
• Build integrations with AI/LLM pipelines, orchestration systems, and third-party services
• Improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and performance across distributed services
• Collaborate closely with frontend, AI, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality features
• Design clean API contracts and backend architectures that scale with product growth
• Debug production issues, optimize bottlenecks, and improve system resilience
• Write technical documentation, runbooks, and engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers where needed

What We’re Looking For

Backend Engineering Expertise

• 3+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems
• Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Go, or Java
• Experience designing scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of databases, caching systems, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and backend infrastructure

Product & Ownership Mindset

• Ability to independently own backend services from concept to deployment
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on reliability, scalability, and customer impact
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams across engineering and product
• Preference for iterative development, measurable rollouts, and operational excellence

AI & Modern Development Practices

• Exposure to AI-powered products, LLM integrations, vector databases, or AI orchestration systems is preferred
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering tooling
• Understanding of latency, reliability, cost optimization, and observability in AI systems is a plus

Infrastructure & Scalability

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and backend deployment workflows
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Sentry
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in production environments

Engineering Excellence

• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• High ownership, bias for action, and pragmatic decision-making
• Ability to balance speed, scalability, and technical quality

Communication & Collaboration

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to document architectural decisions and explain complex systems clearly
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-native or data-intensive platforms
• Familiarity with vector databases, retrieval systems, and AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience working in startup or high-growth product environments
• Knowledge of security, authentication, and multi-tenant architecture is a plus
