Our Client is a leading company in Renewables with an international orientation and an existing diverse portfolio of more than 7GW. For their exponentially growing business, they are looking for a ‘Business Development Senior Manager’, to be based in Athens.
The role reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for identifying new markets and established business models, initiating strong business cases, creating state-of-the-art business plans, and commissioning them.
Your Responsibilities:
- Developing strong external relationships with key stakeholders throughout the market (developers, financial advisors, project funders etc.)
- Business plan execution: platform/company acquisition, project/pipeline acquisition, co-development agreements, integration plan, tax/legal structuring, structured finance, marketing/PR.
- Project pipeline development execution: from opportunity origination to financial deal, including contract negotiation and due diligence (tax, legal, technical) coordination and managing third-party engagement.
- Negotiating in contracts: Co-development Agreements, Land-related Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, and Investment Agreements.
- Generating and understanding the company’s strategies, developing best business practices, and originating relevant opportunities.
- People and program management, ensuring deliverables are consistent with clients’ agreed contracts and engagements.
- Licensing services for PV parks/ storage projects for numerous clients of the company.
- Representing the company with clients and other external parties.
- Keep up with/ be ahead of industry best practice/legislative regime know-how with a solution-focused attitude.
Your profile:
- Strong academic background in Engineering, with an MBA or master’s in finance being a strong asset.
- More than 7 years of work experience in the project development of Solar (PV) business and/or wind farms.
- AutoCAD and/or GIS would be appreciated.
- Impeccable English skills
