For a 5* luxury resort in Capri, we’re looking for a
SPA MANAGER
The candidate will have to manage the operations of the facility in coordination with the Director of the Medical SPA, be responsible for the work team, and ensure high standards of customer service. Duties will range from organisational management (coordination of resources, administration, marketing) to customer management (reception, customer advice and cabin treatments). The person will have to work in a well-established and dynamic team, and therefore a predisposition to teamwork, discretion and confidentiality are prerequisites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assists the Medical Spa Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the spa as necessary
- Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports as needed to assist in the financial management of department
- Manages supplies and equipment inventories within budget
- Maintains cleanliness of spa and related areas and equipment
- Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and managing to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
- Sets a positive example for guest relations
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- Handles guest problems and complaints
- Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
- Ensures the team meets its top line revenue, membership and guest satisfaction goals
- Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focusing on continuous improvement
- Strives to improve service performance
- Observes service behaviors of employees and providing feedback to individuals
- Supervises on-going training initiatives and conducting training when appropriate
- Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensuring employees do the same within the team
- Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members
- Ensures all employees have the proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
Requirements:
- Current or previous experience working as SPA Manager or Assistant SPA Manager role with strong focus to customer service, in a 5-star hotel or luxury SPA
- Fluent English and Italian
- Highly organized person with strong planning skills
- A proven track record of successfully leading people
- High level customer service ambassador
- Strong communications skills and guest-oriented attitude
