This remote role involves analyzing and interpreting data to estimate IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) reserves and developing actuarial models for accurate financial assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical data and claim patterns to estimate IBNR reserves across various insurance lines.
• Maintain and enhance actuarial models to ensure precise reserve estimations and regulatory compliance.
• Perform regular valuations to determine the financial impact of IBNR reserves on financial statements.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and integrate best practices in IBNR estimation methodologies.
• Proactively assess the implications of emerging trends in claims, legal frameworks, and medical advancements on reserves.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and transparent reporting of actuarial data.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience, with a preference for 2+ years specifically in valuation.
• Successful completion of at least 4 exams towards the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
• Proficient in SQL or another programming language.
• Demonstrated project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASA or FSA designation.
• 2+ years of commercial pricing experience.
