My Client is a hyperlocal Content Distribution Network (CDN) that allows users to access their favourite apps without depending on mobile internet or WiFi, reducing mobile data usage for the user.

Position – Sr. Engineer - Data Admin

Location – Bangalore

Technical Responsibilities

● Analyze designs, create and implement Big Data infrastructures, including access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security

● Install, upgrade, and test complex big data deployments with correct planning, scheduling, and implementation

● Design, install, and maintain highly available systems (including monitoring, security, backup, and performance tuning)

● Troubleshoot and do root cause analysis for incidents, and Initiate corrective actions to stay on schedule based on the RCA results ● Develop and implement recovery plans and procedures Education Requirements

● Minimum - Graduate. Technical streams would be preferred.

Experience and Skill Requirements

● Minimum experience should be 4-6 years

● Relevant experience should be at least 3 years

● Good exposure and architectural knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem services like Hbase, Hive, Spark, Zookeeper, impala, YARN

● Expertise in setting up HA for HDFS, YARN, Zookeeper

● Good understanding of Security, Kerberos etc.

● Experience in Cluster performance tuning

● Experience in Hive and spark query tuning

● Experience with database replication and scaling

● Experience application troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

● Extremely strong Unix/Linux skills

● Very good communication and work management

● Must possess good analytical and problem solving skills

● Should be familiar with the best practices and tricks around the Hadoop tools and utilities

● Good to have: o Automation experience using scripting languages (Shell, Ansible, Python etc.) o Worked on Migration of Hadoop ecosystem from Hortonworks to Cloudera.
