Antal is partnering with a world-leading global PMC organization involved in large-scale railway and infrastructure projects across the globe.
We are currently seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to lead and oversee Rail Transportaion activities within major transit projects
Your responsibilities:
- Review and validate all transit systems designs, technical submittals, and integration documents to ensure compliance with the D&B Contract, performance specifications, safety requirements, and operational needs
- Coordinate system integration activities across signalling, rolling stock, telecommunications, power systems, PSDs, SCADA, and station systems to ensure full functional interoperability
- Support and oversee testing & commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, integration tests, system demonstrations, trial runs, and verification of dynamic system behaviour
- Monitor system-level RAMS performance, ensuring compliance with reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety standards defined in the Employer’s Requirements
- Participate in inspections, NCR review processes, quality oversight activities, and compliance checks to confirm correct installation, configuration, and integration of transit systems
- Assess technical risks, interface challenges, and design changes, ensuring all impacts on system performance, integration, and operational readiness are identified and mitigated
- Collaborate with PMCM teams, the D&B Contractor, O&M Entity, and key stakeholders to resolve system issues, align operational objectives, and ensure readiness for revenue service
- Prepare technical reports, system assessments, integration logs, and progress updates for Employer review as part of PMCM reporting and assurance obligations
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline, with 15+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience in transit system engineering covering signalling, communications, rolling stock, power, and control systems, ideally within fully automated (UTO) metro environments
- Strong understanding of system integration principles, operational concepts, safety requirements, and interdependencies across multi-disciplinary metro systems
- Proven ability to evaluate technical documentation, system architectures, interface control documents, test plans, NCRs, and commissioning deliverables
- Familiarity with RAMS frameworks, EN 50126/50129 standards, and operational performance requirements for complex rail systems
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess system risks, evaluate integration issues, and recommend technical solutions for optimal performance
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills for working within large, multi-contract, multi-discipline project environments
- High level of professionalism, technical rigor, and adaptability in navigating complex system integration challenges in a megaproject setting
