Our client is the world’s first helpdesk built for Google Workspace. They are a software as a service application (SaaS) that helps organizations collaborate from their email inboxes.

Role details:

• Title / Designation: Staff Engineer
• Reporting Manager:  Engineering Manager
• Location: Chennai, Pune, Bangalore

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensure code quality. Extensively participates in code reviews across various projects
• Coaches all leads with code comments, documents, and presentations.
• Partners with senior leadership to propose ways to improve team productivity and provide metrics to enable decision making
• Deeply involved with all complex projects across the company and strives towards reducing uncertainty in them
• Track record of assessing the fairly accurate expected time of arrival (ETA) for large & complex projects and working with a team to meet these timelines with high confidence
• Actively participate in coaching engineering talent and hold them accountable for both systems and processes

Candidate requirements:

• Object-oriented skills, testing patterns and  Python or Java programming language
• Expertise working with distributed systems.
• Hands on experince with Cloud platforms AWS or GCP
• Hands on Experience in MySQL and NoSQL (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and schema design
• Experience in mentoring junior developers and acting as an enabler to help them reach the next level
• Experience in building large-scale, high availability production web application infrastructure
• Good grasp of architectural principles for SaaS-based capabilities
