Job Description
- Independent contributor - There is a need for seasoned veterans to write code, just as much as they would design it. Select, complex components can be taken up so as to speed up the release process
- Drive the release - Alongside the program manager, you will assist with the technical delivery of the release, code-reviews, “un-blocking” development, maintaining/improving the overall cadence of the release.
- R&D - One of the top responsibilities of the SSE is to always be forward thinking. This requires one to investigate new technologies, approaches, solving performance issues by re-writing low-level components in other languages, etc.
- Become a SME across teams - studying various business and product workflow, have context for various design decisions, etc
- Execute performance, security and cost initiative across teamsLead key product changes with/across the team(s)
- Experience in solving Scaling issues in large production environment
- Experience in mentoring and guidance team mates to reach their potential
- Ability to coordinate work across different teams, cross-functional and working across multiple verticals
- Identify bottlenecks on design and implementation upfront
- Ability for quick decision-making in face of challenges
