Strategic Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Supplier management for assigned commodities
• Price and contract negotiations for production material with international suppliers
• Implementation of commodity strategies
• Risk management for dedicated suppliers
• Ensure sufficient supplier capacity to avoid delivery problems
• Support international purchasing projects of the European Purchasing Team
• Support sourcing activities of the European Sourcing Team in Eastern Europe
• Manage cross-functional interfaces with related departments such as SCM, Quality Management and Operations

Your profile:

• Experience in the automotive sector would represent an advance
• General industry experience is mandatory
• Bachelor’s Degree in technical areas / logistics management / project management or any related field
• Exposure in areas such as purchasing, commodity knowledge of mechanical parts, production processes, logistics, price negotiations, supplier workshops would be necessary
• Good Project Management skills, capable of organizing very well the tasks and responsibilities
• Business and technical knowledge would be necessary
• Strong SAP knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools
• Fluent in English, German represents an advantage
