The role is newly created, requires a a complex understanding of the agricultural business.
The main repsonsibilities include:
- Delivering a coherent portfolio strategy ensuring balance between local needs and regional crop protectional strategies
- Ensuring an effective, harmonized execution of marketing processes, tools, and decision platforms aligned with global platforms and processes such as Product Profiles, Product Positioning, Value Pricing , Season/Campaign Planning and 5-year Business Planning
- Guiding Sales and Marketing teams in the design of effective go to market strategies.
- Maintaining competitive intelligence in the crop protection industry and building relationships with outside bodies that have major influence on business
The Strategic Marketing Operations Head reports directly to GM Hungary, managing a team of 2, provides portfolio leadership in Hungary:
• by identifying and characterizing market trends and segments
• prioritizing growth opportunities
• leading product positioning and pricing activities
• creating and capturing value through differentiated product and service offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ work experience in Agricultural chemicals, having worked in commercial, product management or technical role
- Good at working with Customers and Channels in country
- Understand market dynamics and competitive environment in crop protection product markets and translate it into strategy (Seeds, or fertilizer experience is an additional benefit.)
- Proven ability to lead task driven teams and facilitate strategy sessions with all levels of professionals internally and externally.
- Solid analytical skills and solution-driven thinking;
- Ability to utilize a combination of business intelligence data, intuition, and experience in the development of impactful business growth initiatives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Hungarian and English.
