Role Overview:

The Head – Supply Chain Management will lead end-to-end upstream and downstream supply chain functions, including supplier management, procurement scheduling, stores & dispatch, exports, and customer deliveries. This individual will play a strategic leadership role in managing international clients, streamlining complexity, reducing uncertainty and driving technology-led SCM transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End SCM Leadership: Manage complete supply chain operations covering procurement, supplier management, production planning, warehousing, logistics, and exports.
• Upstream SCM: Drive supplier development, vendor scheduling, quality assurance, and raw material planning to handle 700+ suppliers with high part complexity.
• Downstream SCM: Ensure flawless customer order management, delivery performance, export logistics, and client coordination with international OEMs.
• International Client Handling: Build and maintain strong relationships with global customers like Porsche, Audi, and others; ensure seamless supply chain integration and responsiveness to their requirements.
• Analytics & Technology: Implement Power BI, Business Intelligence models, and SAP MM for demand forecasting, scheduling, and real-time decision-making.
• Digital Transformation: Lead SCM function migration to SAP HANA, embedding process automation, predictive forecasting, and data-driven decision systems.
• Forecasting & Uncertainty Reduction: Enhance accuracy of forecasts, reduce supply variability, and strengthen contingency planning.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8–10 SCM professionals; instill ownership, accountability, and problem-solving culture.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, quality, projects, finance) to ensure SCM excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: 15–20 years in Supply Chain Management within automotive / engineering / manufacturing industries, with significant exposure to international clients.
• Expertise: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in upstream and downstream SCM – supplier management, raw material planning, production scheduling, logistics, exports and customer interface.
• Systems & Tools: Strong working knowledge of SAP MM, Power BI, analytics platforms, and BI models. Experience in SAP HANA migration preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Strong temperament, ownership, and problem-solving ability to handle ambiguity and pressure.
• Client Orientation: Direct experience in handling global OEMs with high quality and delivery expectations.
• Mindset: Tech-savvy, analytical, system-driven, resource-optimizing leader with a proactive approach.
