Project Description

Our customer is a market leader who fulfills the development (software and hardware), production, and integration of high-performance infotainment systems for the automotive industry (Tier-1 supplier for car manufacturers).

Responsibilities

• Perform software validation for one or more projects on a new Telematics system;
• Apply specifications, user guides, use cases, comparable products, and previously known bugs to create and maintain test plans, test designs, and test cases;
• Perform manual software testing. Perform session-based exploratory testing;
• Perform testing using both test cars and test benches;
• Use professional hardware interfaces and measuring tools;
• Identify software issues and transfer problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data;
• Record, process, and analyze data with PC based tools and test instrumentation;
• Document testing and create test reports. (Follows CMMI guidelines for creating and maintaining test documentation.).

Mandatory Skills:

- Experience in Bug-Tracking-Tools
- Linux (basic knowledge) is a must
- Electronics knowledge/practice is a must

- Driving license B and experience
- Availability for test drives
- Experience in working with / testing on Automotive
- Automotive knowledge/experience is a must / Infotainment/Navigation systems

- Working knowledge of Android or Embedded Linux
- Ability to read schematics and debug the analog and digital hardware
- Ability to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting

Skills

Must have

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering or related field, Mobil Network Operator (MNO) certifications (technical testing labs), or comparable discipline
• Broad technical background with general knowledge of cellular technology, Bluetooth, WiFi, and automotive requirements
• Experience in wireless device testing, certification, and Wireless Infrastructure labs addressing LTE, WCDMA, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSxPA, WLAN, BT technologies
• Working experience across all subsystems of wireless devices - Protocol stack, modem, RF, Platform Software, RTOS, User Interface
• Knowledge of Integration, verification, and validation of 3GPP wireless modem and System integration with platform software
• Experience in conformance test, IOT, Field Test and Carrier Certification
• Exposure to standardization activities, processes & tests (GCF/ PTCRB/ RED/ FCC/ ITA, etc)
• Practical experience in related areas such as MNO certification processes
• Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with business and technology leaders
• Experience managing external and internal vendors/ partners
• Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the business
• Willingness to travel (up to 40% of the time) depending on the project necessities
