Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Propose section’s plan and objectives
- Manage the execution of the section’s objectives and goals in line with the operational plan
- Provide input into the preparation of the section’s budget towards further approval, to the Division Director
- Monitor the sectional budget expenditure in coordination with the relevant units and in alignment to the section’s plan
Performance Management
- Monitor the performance of the section by providing strategic direction and guidance to achieving objectives
- Proactively communicate the annual objectives and KPIs to the section’s employees
People Management
- Identify training and development needs of the section’s employees with a special focus on Emiratization
- Ensure availability of the required number and specialized staff to support the section by providing input into the annual manpower plan
- Provide constructive feedback to direct reports and input to the Division Director on the performance results of employees
Knowledge Management and Innovation
- Contribute to innovation and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement and excellence in performance within the section
Governance
- Ensure adherence and execution of the section's policies and procedures as defined by the management
- Ensure compliance of the section to the guidelines defined by the risk management and quality management guidelines
- Participate and provide input into the periodic audit of the established policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Management Reporting
- Oversee and prepare periodic reports on the section
- Provide input into the section’s operational effectiveness report
- Propose and recommend corrective measures to manage any quality or non-compliance issues that arise during the review
Change Management
- Manage the execution of the change management activities in the section including all stakeholder engagement as per the approved communication plan, as required
Technology Management
- Define the technology-related needs of the section, including SMART services and system, to drive automation and cost optimization
- Personal Development
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
Qualification:
- University degree or equivalent in a related field, Master’s Degree is desirable
- Experience of at least 12 years in a relevant field, preferably in the education sector/Large MNC’s in UAE.
- Candidate must have early years of their career experience working with Agencies .
- Westerner Preferred.
