Responsibilities / Expected Capabilities

Responsible for the design and development of PES products in complete product life cycle

Debugging design, Issues in Development and validation phase.

Responsible for interacting with the cross function teams.

Mandatory Skills - 

Should have hands on experience on Power Electronics Design for high voltage applications.

Experience on battery management systems.

Strong fundamentals in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems, Power Electronics

Sound knowledge on Component Selection and Design Analysis and Simulations

PCB Design knowledge to support Layout Engineer and Basic knowledge on Design for manufacturing

Knowledge on EMI EMC, Environmental tests and design in compliance with these requirements.

Deep understanding of MOSFET / IGBTs switching characteristic, loss and thermal modeling and analysis.

Experience on Design of DC/DC converters in the range from 3-22 KW.

Experience on Design of PFC stages (power range 11kW)

Knowledge of the typical bus systems in the vehicle and the typical development tools (Vector tools)

Develop design with safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics on BMS

Maintain FMEA/FMEDA for critical features of highly reliable, fault-tolerant battery system.

Familiar with product development processes/ Product life cycle from design to production.

Good understanding of automotive functional safety standards like ISO 26262 will be value addition for this job.

Desired Skills

DC-DC converter design and development experience

Hands on experience on Design Analysis - DFMEA, FMEDA, Worst Case Circuit Analysis / Power Analysis / Thermal Analysis

Knowledge on Microcontroller based designs.

Knowledge on signal conditioning circuits for precise measurements.

Experience on Communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C etc

Good knowledge on Requirements engineering.

Lead test plan development, issue resolution, and board bring up, Validation and in-vehicle testing of power electronic systems.

Hands on Experience handling high power systems/ environment.

-Shall have experience on high voltage based design, testing and safety handling.
