Role & responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects within the Data Platform organization, ensuring the successful delivery of project goals, timelines, and objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and create comprehensive project plans and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Coordinate and prioritize tasks among team members, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, provide project updates, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed about project milestones, risks, and issues.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project reports, requirements, specifications, and change requests.
• Collaborate with other technical leads and managers to align project activities, identify dependencies, and ensure effective coordination across teams.
• Continuously improve project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance team productivity and project delivery efficiency.

Candidate requirements:

• 7+ years of strong technical experience and understanding of Data Platform principles, infrastructure, and software development processes.
• Experience as a Technical Lead or Project Manager, successfully managing complex projects and initiatives within a technology-focused organization.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to create and manage project plans, schedules, and reports.
• Must have experience in cloud platform technologies.

• Cloud tools like Azure or AWS.
• Containerization and virtualization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Openshift.
• Programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
• Data storage tools such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Graph Databases, Snowflake, Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgres
• Message tools: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Event Hub

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.
• Experience in DevOps practices and technologies is an added advantage.
