Job characteristics:

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Manager who will build a technical team responsible for supervising the construction and maintenance of a drugstore chain. As the Technical Manager, you will prepare and implement new investment projects related to the development of the store chain. You will ensure their timely implementation and ensure proper development and implementation in accordance with budget plans and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the technical strategy for investment plans in the subordinate region.
• Verification of the local market in terms of future cooperation with designers, suppliers and contractors.
• Cooperation with design offices at the design and as-built stages.
• Comprehensive management of investment projects (including: preparation of budgets, verification of compliance of works with the legal status and applicable standards, coordination of works and deadlines, supervision of acceptance, obtaining legally required documents and permits necessary to start work and necessary before use premises).
• Securing utilities by ordering and signing contracts for their delivery.
• Optimization of investment costs by conducting tender procedures for construction and assembly works, delivery of furniture and necessary equipment.
• Ongoing control of costs related to implemented investments.
• Maintain construction standard for all concepts of JMDiF facilities, including exterior and interior visualization.
• Handing over the finished store to the operation department.
• Timely settlement of the investment process and its compliance with budget assumptions.
• Coordination and supervision of the work of subordinate Coordinators.
• Technical support for existing stores and warranty service.
• Cooperation with other departments in the process of opening stores.

Requirements:

• Higher technical education (construction preferred)
• In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and industry standards relevant to construction in Romania.
• Proven (min. 3 years) experience in successfully leading technical teams, with strong communication, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
• Project Management Proficiency, with the ability to oversee several projects at once and deliver results within specified timeframes and budgets.
• Experience in investment projects for retail chains in shopping centers.
• Ability to read documentation: architectural, sanitary, HV&AC, electrical and fire protection.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages, e.g. Hungarian, Polish will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCad.
• Very good organization of own work.
• Category B driving license and driving experience.
