Client description:
Our client, a fast-growing venture-funded Silicon Valley start-up, is a provider of global standards-compliant SaaS Automotive Software and Data Management platform for the Connected Vehicles ecosystem. Their suite of powerful automotive software and data management solutions empowers OEMs to address hundreds of connected vehicles use cases across Fleet Management, (IoT and AI / ML-powered) Smart Predictive Maintenance, Data Monetization, Owner / User hyper-personalization and many others, in addition to reducing recalls and warranty claims.
Role details:
- Title / Designation: Technical Program Manager – Agile Product Development and Implementation
- Reporting to: Product Leadership
- Location: San Jose, US
Role & responsibilities:
- Requirements Management, scoping, scheduling / estimation, aligning product roadmaps, release goals & milestones & sprint backlogs and work products customer business, in an agile development environment
- Technical direction of projects, driven by understanding of the nuances and complexities of each project, driven by prioritization with stakeholder buy-in
- Alignment of program success with company OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), socializing with relevant teams across the organization
- Creation, maintenance and operationalization of Technical Project Plans
- Includes monitoring and control, risk management, milestone tracking, seamless communication and collaboration with multiple internal and client stakeholders, deliverables management, et al
- Collaboration with Product Engineering to define deliverables, roadmaps, and accompanying documentation (API Designs, User Guide, UI/UX Design Flow, and more) for customer review, feedback, acceptance & sign-off
- Management of Change Requirements / Change Requests and Issues and their triaging – with re-prioritization, if required, in consonance with Engineering – ensuring the program remains on track
- Tenacious and relentless removal of obstacles / blockers, while maintaining the trust of the teams across different organizations
- Ownership of governance, review and reporting, driven by clear communication with customers, technical owners, and Leadership Team on program / projects status including technical, business and schedule risks, and their corresponding mitigation plan
- Leadership of vision for and execution of continuous improvements and innovation, to increase visibility, throughput and output quality
- Enablement of compliance of products with regulations like SOC2, GDPR, ASPICE, CCPA, and more
Candidate requirements:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- BA / BS degree in a Science or Engineering discipline
- Strong technical background
- Including passion for and expertise in Cloud / SaaS
- Rich experience in customer-focused technical program delivery
- Demonstrated experience, ability and excitement to take on new, ambiguous and ambitious projects
- Experience working on early-stage projects in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and change – highly preferable
- Relevant professional experience managing complex software development efforts, including tools & processes, breaking down and estimating work, prioritization and issue management
- A strong background in developing software in one of the following areas: cloud, mobility and vehicle related software – highly preferable
- Familiarity with Scrum development methodologies and the supporting tool suites (GitLab, Jira and more)
- Experience in Product Management is a plus
