Scope of the Role:

• This role sits within this manufacturing and offer engineering function, responsible for building technically and commercially competitive bids for electrical equipment, primarily medium-voltage switchgear and distribution systems.
• This role will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of technical and commercial offers for manufactured electrical equipment – primarily medium-voltage switchgear and related systems. 
• Working from tender documents provided by clients or internal project teams, this person analyses requirements, configures solutions, selects appropriate equipment, and produces complete bid packages including pricing, technical datasheets, and assembly drawings.
• This is a technical specialist role that combines analytical rigour with commercial awareness and client relationship management, sitting at the intersection of engineering, procurement, and sales support.
   

Key responsibilities:

• Analyse all input documents received with a request for quotation: tender specifications, project drawings, ATRs (technical connection approvals), client requirements.
• Configure technical solutions tailored to client specifications and applicable standards.
• Size and select electrical equipment for each offer: circuit breakers, measurement and protection transformers, protection relays, fault indicators, voltage indicators, etc.
• Prepare complete techno-economic offers: final pricing, technical datasheets, general assembly drawings.
• Produce quantity take-offs (extrase de cantitati) aligned with project scope for entry into production planning software.
• Maintain and develop client relationships – both internal project teams and external clients.
• Monitor order progress post-award and provide technical support to manufacturing and delivery departments.
   

Candidate profile: 

• Must-Have
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical equipment design or tendering / offer engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical schematic interpretation.
  • Understanding of medium-voltage equipment operation principles (switchgear, transformers, protection relays, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, norms, and standards (Romanian and/or international).
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable managing client interactions and internal cross-departmental coordination.
• Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric medium-voltage product range.
  • Experience with ERP or production configuration software.
  • Knowledge of IEC standards for medium-voltage switchgear.
  • English language skills (given the company's international projects).
