For our important client leader in the banking and financial sector, we are looking for a:

Test Engineer 

The role

You are taking over an important Test Engineer role within a leading solutions provider for banks and corporates.

You will be working in a dedicated and flexible team to support software development project activities, acting in highly specialized work groups composed of internal resources and third parties dedicated to the design, implementation and execution of tests according to advanced and innovative methodologies.

Job responsibilities

• Contribute to the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach
• Design, develop, execute and automate tests for software validation
• Document, manage and maintain test deliverables, suggesting optimizations
• Provide support for test strategy definition, data preparation and environment management, evaluating requirements, risks and impacts to choose the better approach and solutions
• Create automated test reporting and metrics collection
• Keep relationships with internal stakeholders (Project Manager, Business Analyst, Development Team, Release Manager)
• Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures

Profile requirements

• 3+ years as a Test Engineer (better if operating in financial or banking sector)
• Solid knowledge of test techniques
• Knowledge of programming languages in a departmental environment (e.g. JAVA, Javascript, HTML, PYTHON, C++)
• Good knowledge of SQL, DBMS and data structure
• Knowledge of ISTQB standards
• Fluent in Italian and English

Nice to have

• BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering/Science or related field.
• ISTQB certifications or equivalent may be helpful (Test Analyst, Technical Test Analyst, Test Automation Engineer)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/27001 principles
• Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks (i.e. Angular, HTML 5, low-code platforms)
