This role offers a great step into a busy commercial team where you’ll support key trading activities, work closely with buyers, and play an important part in delivering projects and promotional activity.

The Role As a Trading Assistant Administrator, you’ll provide accurate and timely administrative and analytical support to the Grocery Trading team. You’ll work to tight deadlines, build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and help ensure categories, promotions, and pricing activity run smoothly across the business.

About You Essential

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Confident organising workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Experience working in a large team environment.
• Good standard of education including English and Maths.
• Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Passionate about food and the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day admin and data support to the Trading team.
• Assist with category reviews, promotional activity, and preparing documents for negotiations.
• Chase suppliers for information, income updates, promotional submissions and delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate product, pricing and supplier data across spreadsheets and internal systems.
• Support cost price increase analysis, new line setups and seasonal buying activity.
• Compile stock, availability and performance reports for the team.
• Communicate clearly with suppliers, buyers and regional teams to keep tasks on track.
