Our client is a well-established, privately held Romanian company operating in the meat and fish processing sector. Our Client supplies modern retail chains, food service operators, and international wholesale partners, competing on product quality, shelf-life reliability, and compliance with EU food safety standards.

ROLE CONTEXT & STRATEGIC PURPOSE

• Our client operates a demanding logistics environment shaped by the characteristics of meat and fish product handling: strict temperature chain requirements, time-sensitive order fulfillment, seasonal volume fluctuations, and the complexity of serving both large retail chains and smaller regional clients.
• The Transport & Warehouse Operations Coordinator will take ownership of the full operational chain from warehouse intake through to final delivery. This is a hands-on management role requiring both process discipline and the ability to lead a team effectively in a high-throughput environment. The right candidate will bring order and efficiency to logistics operations and will be expected to implement structural improvements within their first 90 days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the end-to-end order fulfillment process: from warehouse receipt and staging through to dispatch and customer delivery confirmation
• Coordinate daily warehouse operations including storage allocation, stock rotation (FIFO compliance mandatory in temperature-controlled environments), and space utilization
• Plan and manage delivery schedules across the company's vehicle fleet; coordinate third-party transport providers where applicable
• Lead inventory management processes including daily stock reconciliation, variance investigation, and periodic stock counts
• Supervise, motivate, and develop warehouse and transport personnel; build a culture of accuracy and accountability
• Ensure all cold chain protocols are maintained throughout the warehousing and delivery process in compliance with HACCP and EU food safety regulations
• Work with ERP or warehouse management systems to maintain data accuracy and enable real-time visibility of stock levels
• Optimize routing and delivery schedules to reduce transport costs without compromising delivery time commitments
• Liaise with production planning on outbound schedules; ensure alignment between production output and delivery capacity
• Track and report on key logistics KPIs: order accuracy rate, on-time delivery, stock loss/shrinkage, and cost per delivery

CANDIDATE PROFILE — REQUIREMENTS

• Solid experience in logistics, warehouse management, and delivery coordination — ideally 5+ years in a management capacity
• Prior experience in the food industry strongly preferred; candidates with meat or fish supply chain experience will be prioritized
• Familiarity with cold chain logistics and the regulatory requirements of perishable goods transport
• Proficient with ERP systems and/or warehouse management software; data-literate and comfortable with reporting
• Strong organizational and planning skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
• Experience managing and developing teams in warehouse and transport contexts
• Structured, process-driven mindset combined with practical hands-on approach
• Ability to work extended and flexible hours, including early morning dispatch coverage when required

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

• Fixed salary: ~2,500 EUR net / month
• Performance bonus structure linked to operational KPI achievement
