Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transport Manager to oversee all aspects of fleet operations and ground transport logistics for a prestigious private estate in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless mobility, vehicle maintenance, driver supervision, and safety compliance for the principal and their guests.
The Transport Manager will report directly to the Property Manager and coordinate with other estate departments to deliver prompt, secure, and polished transport services in line with five-star UHNW standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of professional drivers, ensuring punctuality, discretion, and top-tier service.
- Oversee the daily deployment, scheduling, and routing of vehicles to meet estate and principal needs.
- Ensure routine and preventive maintenance of all fleet vehicles, including executive cars, SUVs, support vehicles, and specialty assets.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, mileage, fuel consumption, and registration.
- Manage vehicle insurance, documentation, inspections, and renewals.
- Implement policies for driver conduct, grooming, and guest etiquette training.
- Support security and protocol officers for principal movements and VIP convoys.
- Develop contingency plans for emergencies, breakdowns, or unplanned routing.
- Monitor and optimize fuel usage, reduce inefficiencies, and maintain expense reports.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Officer on parts, services, and vehicle acquisitions.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience managing private or corporate fleets, preferably in a high-net-worth or diplomatic setting.
- Strong knowledge of luxury vehicles, vehicle tracking systems, and maintenance cycles.
- Proven leadership and crisis management skills.
- Excellent communication, discretion, and organizational skills.Valid international or Nigerian driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Working knowledge of Lagos road networks and protocols.
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt to last-minute changes.
