An international air and ocean logistics company are looking for a UK Tender/Bids/Proposals Manager to manage the process from opportunity, pre-bid/planning phase to post-tender award status. Freight industry experience is required. 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday based in Chertsey with Hybrid working. You will have been involved in Pricing or Bids and Tenders in some way within the Freight industry, ideally with operational experience. This is a project management role, communicating with many different stakeholders to collect information and produce bids and tenders on time. PowerPoint skills are required.
Areas of responsibility will include:
- Maintain database to enable tracking of all opportunities from pre-bid/planning phase, to tender phase, to post-tender/award status
- Assess and qualify all tenders, focusing attention on the "right" opportunities
- Careful review and breakdown of all tenders to have complete understanding of scope, requirements, timelines, etc.
- Monitor forecasted opportunities and coordinate early engagement meetings ("deal clinics")
- Liaise with Sales, Product and Pricing Teams, as well as various key subject matter experts in order to collect input and ensure understanding and alignment
- Understand and communicate tender win strategy
- Provide tailored solution design and identify unique selling points; detail our value proposition to the customer
- Ensure consistent and high-quality tender process for all UK tenders; hold regular gate reviews to monitor progress and highlight areas requiring attention or escalation
- Prepare and submit professional and timely bid submissions in accordance with client stipulations
- Develop and implement best-in-class visuals and designs to impress and influence customers
