My international client requires an experienced VAT Manager to support UK VAT advisory for both ongoing business activities carried out in the UK and some new initiatives, with occasional Pan-EU Retail Business projects.


You would be sitting with the UK VAT Team (part of the EMEA VAT Planning Consumer Team) and would interact with members of the tax department and local business partners.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Recognized professional tax qualification, chartered accountant, or relevant law degree
• Demonstrable VAT experience with a global consulting firm, law firm, or blue chip commercial organization: a minimum of 6.5 years with robust technical skills
• In-depth VAT technical knowledge (on both UK and cross-border VAT, with post-Brexit exposure)
• Experience working on various projects as required- from drafting technical VAT/business documents and submissions to HMRC

Previous experience in the Retail and/or e-commerce sectors, including product UK VAT liability determination, would be desirable
Excellent English, verbal, and written language skills.

The current policy is an average of 3 days per week working from the office
