Your minimum of 4 years within a commercial/niche short-term insurance administrative function (i.e. Administrator / Underwriter / UW Assistant), along with your obtained RE5 and FAIS accreditation would allow you to learn and develop from a global insurer specializing in Property & Engineering insurance.
Based in Johannesburg, you would join a small, but highly specialized and knowledgeable, team where you would effectively support and handle administration for the Property and Engineering Underwriting team by working closely with the Manager and Underwriters on all matters pertaining to the Company’s Property and/or Engineering books.
Your skills and/or experience include being computer literate (especially within Excel), issuing of relevant SASRIA documentation, commercial/specialised underwriting administration, and experience in working on some form of administrative/IT system (be it an internal system). Additionally, a high level of skills would be needed in areas such as accuracy, verbal and communication skills, organizational skills, etc.
With an aim at further growth into more senior functions over time, our client would be looking for someone who is ambitious and very open to learning and developing their skills/knowledge. Further behavioural competencies would include problem-solving, attention to detail, being inquisitive and adaptable, and enjoying contributing to the team's success.
